Virtual Leased Lines and WDM between sites
Virtual Leased Line is a layer 2 (Ethernet) private connection between physical network sites, such as data centers and offices. It consolidates these sites into a secure and manageable network.
Between data centers, Fusix offers VLL with fixed or dynamic capacity, Q-in-Q and jumbo-frame capabilities (Maximum Transfer Unit 9000 bytes). Next to that, your VLL will use 2 redundant active-active service delivery paths with link aggregation. You receive 2 ports on each side of a VLL, 99,99% service uptime guarantee and no planned maintenance with service availability impact.
WDM is available between any of our on-net data centers within the Amsterdam area. This service has the capacity of 10 Gbps for a low cost, fixed monthly fee.

Full redundancy of backbone components
Our on-net locations are connected to the core routers in a form of a star, while all backbone components are deployed redundantly. This design provides 100% availability and zero service impact during network maintenance events.
Each on-net data center is equipped with 2 physical edge switches, each of which is connected to a core router. Internet and VLL services are delivered to clients in a port on each switch, thus in 2 circuits that run totally independent of each other.
Within each pair of dark fibers that connects the edge switches to the core routers, each fiber follows a different path, which eliminates the risk of accidental damage to both fibers at the same time.
The core routers are Juniper MX960 devices that are located – for service continuity reasons – in 2 data centers: Nikhef and euNetworks.
The result of the backbone design is the best service availability rate in the market.
